The Member State Committee (MSC) agreed unanimously on the identification of eight Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) that will be added to the Candidate List and may thus become subject to authorisation. The Committee also gave a favourable opinion on ECHA's draft recommendation for adding eight new substances to the Authorisation List.
iPoint will update the concerning CSI rules as soon as ECHA publishes the Candidate List.

Acrylamide included in the REACH Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern for Authorisation
On March 30, 2010 European Chemicals Agency added Acrylamide (EC No 201-173-7, CAS No 79-06-1) to the Candidate List of Substances Very High Concern (SVHC) for Authorisation. Companies who manufacture or import this substance need to check their potential obligations acc. REACH Titel IV (Art. 31-36) that result from the listing.

New public consultation on eight potential substances of very high concern
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has today published proposals to identify eight chemicals as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) and possible candidates for authorisation. IUCLID 5.2 is now available
A new version of IUCLID is available on the IUCLID website. Registrants can already install IUCLID 5.2 to be ready to submit dossiers in the new REACH-IT version which will be released early March 2010.
